What is the Wasteland Caravan? What is The Lost Highway, and Sophistapirates? I get the chance to cut all sorts of people’s hair, and giving haircuts before humans head out to Element 11 or Burning Man sparked my curiosity.

I was excited/pleased to get to know Jakob Jennings one of the founders of Wasteland Caravan an art collective and theme camp for Element 11. Not only did we get all the details on what it means to be part of a burning man theme camp. He also experienced a hair transformation! This is a win/win, he looks amazing and we get to tell you all about the art and culture happenings in Utah.

One of the 10 Principles of Burning man is.

Radical Self-expression: Radical self-expression arises from the unique gifts of the individual. No one other than the individual or a collaborating group can determine its content. It is offered as a gift to others. In this spirit, the giver should respect the rights and liberties of the recipient.

It’s important that burners be their authentic selves and Jakob has his own style for sure. It was my pleasure in helping this style come into focus before he left for Element 11.
